Do not strike your father or mother.

 “He that strikes his father or mother shall surely be put to death” Shmoth 21:15 

The warning against it is derived from the verse “he may not add more” Devarim 25:3 (-43) 

If someone inflicted a wound on his father or mother and there were witnesses and was warned his execution should be by strangulation.

If he struck him on the ear and deafened him he would deserve the death penalty since it is impossible that a drop of blood was not shed within.

If he struck him without inflicting a wound, he is punishable as for any other Jew.

If he stuck his father or mother after their death, he is free from penalty.

 

It is forbidden to do bloodletting one one’s father or mother.

If there is no other doctor available, he should do as they instruct him.

 

This applies in all places at all times for men and women.
