Positive Mitzvah

63

Return something pawned/pledged to the owner at the time he requires it.

“You will surely restore to him the pledge “Devarim 23:14

One who takes a pledged object through the court or takes the pledged object by himself, whether with force or the consent of the borrower, is obligated in this-

He must return his pillow at night, tools used for his work or clothes that he wears in the daytime.

He returns them daily for the entire day.

He transgresses by not returning the pledged object in the required times and violates this mitzvah and transgressed one negative commandment.

God says you are indebted to Me, your soul ascends every night after night and gives an account and is indebted to Me, yet I return to you, so too should you take and return the pledge.
