Be attached to Torah scholars and their students
“to Him you will cleave.” Devarim 10: 20
The Sages say cleaving to a Torah scholar is like cleaving to Gods presence. Talmud Kesubos 111b.
Therefor a person should endeavour to marry the daughter of a Torah scholar and marry his daughter to a Torah scholar.
One should eat with him and have him derive benefit from your possessions.
Attend his lectures and thirstily take in his words.
This applies in all places and at all times for men and women.
